Well, I didn't make the finals at the poetry slam last night, but "Pizza Man Percival Pinter's Opposable Problem" was nonetheless very well received. The audience loudly voiced their opinion that the judges had scored my work too low.

Just got approval to present a rather unique preview of my work on Free Comic Book Day. In addition to a signing and writing original vignettes for those who want them, I will read excerpts of my novella, Hero by Force: Blackmail and White.

Wow. And to think, we knew you when.

Sounds great -- hope the reception is warm and you garner many new fans!

This coffee is just made of awesome.

I just found out there's a movie in the making with an awesome cast:

Jason Statham, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Mickey Rourke, Danny Trejo, Terry Crews and Eric Roberts.

The movie is called "The Expendables" and is out in 2010.

Now if you grew up seeing most of the people in that list in the action movies as I did, this movie is a must see. :eek

Well you're being lied to then.
Schwarzenegger is a politician now he's done with movies he hasn't been in any. You'd think he'd have been in Terminator but no, he's supposedly got a cameo as the Governor of California, but I doubt it.

Mickey Rourke I'd believe but something tells me I read somewhere he wasn't able to do that film.

Stallone recently told everyone he was doing one more film and then he was retiring. That could be wrong though.
I know he's writing or directing it though. Maybe both.

Just remember, even IMDB is wrong sometimes. I really doubt that film is going to have Arnie though. Not to rain on your parade.

Stallone is directing and writing both Rambo V and The Expendables, and starring on both.
Stallone saying "I'll do one more" is like Kojima saying "This is my last".

I have been lied because you have more liable information? I have Imdb, which most of the times has quite trustworthy information.

-Which is faulty in cases like for example if the movie has just been announced or a movie is in pre-production and to be released in three years. Usually it's quite correct when the information has been updated the same year the movie is to be released.

So yeah, Imdb is more reliable then you saying "I doubt it", "I read somewhere" and "something tells me".

Plus Schwarzenegger has done two minor roles after he was elected. I never said that he would have more then a cameo.

$215 medication plus the high dosage vitamin and mineral regimen seems to be working. I feel better than I had in months.

Mr. Ange is, as we speak, merely two states away and getting closer, as opposed to two time zones away. He'll be home in less than two days!!!!!

Lucky you, Angelique! :)

Mr. Nel will be home for our wedding anniversary this weekend. I wish we could afford to dine out at one of our favorite restaurants, but I guess we'll make do with a nice dinner at home and maybe a little bottle of cheap wine, lol! Riunite is pretty good.

Mr. Ange has taken a needed break from all his driving at what is indisputably South Dakota's best rest stop and will come home with lots of pictures of Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse.

His homecoming celebration will be rather low-key- a bottle of wine and a bar of fancy chocolate, but then there's the weekend, the opening of Wolverine, Free Comic Book Day, and his birthday pretty much in a row.

Did he have dinner at Carver's Cafe? We were there two years ago, and it was pretty good. The view was excellent.

Don't know. Cell phone service is lousy between Rapid City and wherever the heck he was in Montana when we spoke last a couple of hours ago.

Speaking of Montana, he's one state away now, and hoping to get home tonight!!!

I'm eating some really weird yet excellent ice cream. It tastes like chemicals or something. *laboriously reads the label* Belly belly & goot. Exorcism flavour?
