I survived Free Comic Book Day... and the scheduled speed-writing marathon. In addition to reading selections of Hero by Force: Blackmail and White as well as some of my appropriately themed poetry, I hand wrote 45 pages of vignettes and short stories for the public in a mere five hours. Artist Eric Hurley was similarly busy with his sketches, but he took the time to draw me this:

My little hick town theater got the Wolverine movie!!!! It's a few days late, but they finally took off that Hanna Montana movie that'd been on for the past 3 weeks and made some room! YES!!! Now my dad and I can go see it!!!!

(They're also going to show the Star Trek movie!!! I think my dad and I'll go see that one too. YEAH!!!)

There are only SIX Thursdays left until summer vacation! And three of them hardly count because of final exams and festival week. HOORAY HOOORAY!! I'm in the home stretch!!

Just found out that classes are actually canceled next Thursday. All of them. SHHHHHHHHYYYYEEEAH!!!! FUCK YES!!!!

Wednesday also, but Wednesday doesn't torment me like Thursday does.

Oh yes, and my newest friend gave me a book last weekend and it's absolutely wonderful and I think I might be turned back on to reading books instead of killing time on the internet all day. Hooray! A constructive use of my time at last!

Add this to my many reasons why I love my LCS:

I intended my signing on Free Comic Book Day to be completely gratis, purely to get word of my work out while adding to the fun of the event. When I arrived today to check my box, I found a card, a handwritten thank you note from the owners, and a gift certificate.

Made it through another Thursday, and next Thursday is canceled. That means there are only two more Thursdays left to go. And maybe next term I will have a better schedule, and not have almost half my working hours for the week stuck together in a clump on one day.

I'm still thinking about the book that I enjoyed so much. Also I rediscovered the TV, and these things together proved once again (to me) that the cure for depression is consumption. I'm going to eat the whole world!
