Hi there,
I know this subject has little or nothing to do with the fuzzy elf (ok, closer to nothing) but I know the folks on here are the decent type so I thought this would be a good place to ask around anyway. Anybody here play the Mandolin? I'm interested in it but don't know anybody who plays. If anybody does I'd love to ask a few questions. Anywho,
Thanks! and long live Scrawlers!

Ooo! I play the mandolin a little, and my dad is brilliant at it. BD94, a mondolin in a bit like a cross between a violin and a guitar I think... It's tunes like a violin, but you pluck it like a banjo or a guitar. It has a very nice sound, I think.

blue demon, if you've ever listened to bluegrass, you've heard a mandolin. It's also used in Irish traditional music occasionally, and other European traditions.

Mistress D, how different does it play from a guitar? And from what I can find online it says it has four sets of strings in pairs, how does that work? And any idea what a good brand would be to look for if I just want one to learn on and have limited funds? huh huh huh?
