We don't want to offend anyone's serious religious views...but, as I said originally... since it is a filk of an existing song...everything's up for grabs as far as I am concerned.the whole Jesus Christ superstar thing boggled me in the first place, cuz I figguree devout christians would scream and yell about bebopping the religion... so whatta I know? I'm a witch... doI care? not on your tyntype...I get raunchy with everything.
I look at it this way... religions.. especially ones that anthropomorphize the creative force in the universe...are the invention of the "god center" in the brain of the human ape. their attempt to bring such an awesome concept as diety down to their level so they can interact with it. Scientists have discovered this area in the brain of humans which seems to be connected to religion. The bigger it is, the more active it is, the more religious a person is. Other animals do not seem to have this "god center" part of the brain... so "god" concepts and the need to interact with diety is a strictly human thing...part of the brain.
OK... this is cool...some people have a lot...some people have not so lot...

Well, if I offend anyone, sorry in advance. For the record, I -did- springboard the idea off my church's Youth Ministers, and they were okay with it. One of them actually asked for a printed copy of it when I was done!
Anyway, here's a bit of a teaser....I probably won't get the rest typed up for a while, I have a sadistic science teacher who assigns HUGE projects and gives you a week to do them in, with no time to work in class.
'Jesus Christ, Mutant Star'
Prologue: Lenore's Plot
Lenore smiled as she printed off the cast and crew sheet for her latest endeavor in evo-verse ficcage. She read down the list:
"Of course Kurt is Jesus, he's the most Christlike of the X-Men, anyway. And Wanda is Mary Magdalene..well, part of my bargain with Red Witch was that I'd have at least two Misfits in large roles, and I do like her better than that twit Amanda (sorry, but I've never liked Amanda...not in comic-verse, nor evo-verse, nor anywhere)...I wonder how she'll react?
"Archangel is Judas...mostly for irony's sake, but he could use being a little evil sometimes, anyway. That gives me an idea: write a story where Warren proves that looks really -are- decieving..that would be lovely.
"And my beloved Pietro is Peter....fulfilling my bargain with RW and my own wishes. Seeing him doing a duet of 'Could We Start Again, Please?' with his twin should be quite good. As for the other Apostles, well, the ones that get mentioned, anyway, I have some good ones.
"Tabitha will be Simon...the personalities match perfectly. Who cares if Simon is a man's part? I love breaking conventions like that...after all, no one stopped me from playing Puck in that performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream we did at writing/acting camp, did they? Tabitha deserves the same respect. I'll make John Proudstar John, of course, and Spirit (from Red Witch's stories) will be James. That'll work fine for the disciples. Now on to the good parts.
"I had such a hard time casting the Pharisees....it takes a special kind of mutant to play a role like that. Magneto will be Caiphas....he has the right sort of character to play that role, and besides, haven't I always given my favorite characters the best roles?
"And of course, Annias will be played by Caliban. That'll raise a few eyebrows. I was actually at a conundrum for a while, but a friend's comment on the movie version helped me with that. (In refrence to the appearance of the actor portraying Annias in the film) "OMG! That dude looks so freaky! He looks like the love-child of Caliban from X-Men and that Bib Fortuna guy from Star Wars!" Thank you, Sarah."
"The other Pharisees will be Remy LeBeau, Wolverine, and Matt Burke (again, pending Red Witch's agreement). And because I love torturing him, Scott Summers will be Pontius Pilate. If Red Witch agrees, Cobra Commander will be Herod...if not...hmm, let me think, who annoys the heck out of me? Oh, I know!" :doh "Slushie-boy! (aka Iceman)."
"Besides myself, Callisto and Evan will be directors. Why? Because I like them..and I don't have to borrow them from Red Witch, because I'm taking them from my own little Evo-verse continuity! Muahahaha! Oh, yeah, and anyone I hate is going to be in the scene with the lepers in it."
"And for security pruposes....well, I have a few tricks up my sleeves....isn't that right, my Guardiennes?" Thirteen sets of eyes peered out from the darkness beside Lenore.
