X3: My fan fic

Post by Blue_Demon94 »

Here's my fan fic, wasn't a very popular topic at The X-Dream, hopefully it goes better here!

It was dark in the laboratory of Dr. Hank McCoy, dark enough for a mistake to go unnoticed. As he finished up his concoction to assist in the reversal of mutation, he began to have some doubts.

Dr. McCoy is a successful authority on genetics and also a mutants right activist, being a mutant himself. His mutation would go unnoticed if not for his ape-like hands and feet, which gave him the nickname “Beast” in high school. His mutant abilities allow him to undergo great feats of agility, giving him gymnast abilities and also super strength.

Although these powers allowed him to achieve many amazing things, being a mutant in the public eye has hurt his name, forcing him to take such extreme measures.
“Bottoms up!” Hank muttered to himself as he drank from the vial of blue liquid.

It was the most horrible thing he has ever tasted, as he finished the rest of the mixture, he kept telling himself, “You’ll be cured, endure the taste“. And after he finished the serum, he was troubled to discover that nothing had changed.

He pulled out his tape recorder and sadly reported his failure, “Attempt 4 has turned up inconclusive, just like the others, on to a new batch.”

He went to the door of his office, where an intercom was positioned on the wall and began to call his assistant, “Jane, can you please bring me a new vial and a cup of water please”

“Right away Mr. McCoy!” She said happily from another laboratory in the institute.

Jane was about twenty and eager to gain college credits for helping take part in McCoy’s research. She went to one of the cabinets and withdrew an empty vial and a glass from another cabinet and filled the glass with water.

As she made her way to the lab where Hank was waiting for her, she heard glass breaking from his lab. At this point she ran to the lab, spilling most of the water on her lab coat. As she opened the lab door she had to duck to narrowly escape being hit with a beaker.

“DOCTOR ARE YOU OKAY?” She called from under a table, but there was no response, just more smashing glasses and grunting.

Jane got to her feet after the grunting and smashing was replaced by heavy breathing and sobbing. She walked to the dark figure on the floor from which the sobbing was coming from.

“Mr. McCoy, is that you?” Jane asked as she apprehensively kneeled down toward the distraught figure on the floor.

“GET OUT OF HERE!” Shouted the figure on the floor.

“Are you okay?” She asked as she stood up, “This is useless, I can‘t see a thing, I‘m going to get a flashlight.”

“NOOOO!!” Shouted the figure whose sorrow was now replaced with panic as a light flashed in his face.

Jane screamed and dropped the flashlight after the light stopped on a man completely covered in fine blue hair. Hank McCoy’s lab coat was in shredded pieces on the floor and a large chunk was in the man’s claws. She ran out of the door and slammed the door behind her.

She franticly ran down the hall to the front door where two security guards were stationed. She was too terrified to speak, but managed to say, “THERE‘S A MONSTER IN THE BUILDING!”

The two guards looked at each other and one asked in a sarcastic tone, “Where is this monster?”

Jane only had to point, before a load smash and a roar proved her statement and the guards were on their feet and halfway down the hall, guns out in the blink of an eye.

The two guards got to the lab door which had a huge amount of wood missing when a microscope was hurled through it with the force of a cannonball and made another hole, breaking through the wall adjacent to the door. The two guards were now regretting investigating this disturbance, but nevertheless they went into the room, which was now eerily silent. Guns out, they began to search the room and soon enough were confronted by an ape-like man with blue fur.

One of the security guards panicked after the “monster” merely put his hands in front of him to let them know he didn’t want any trouble, put the gun to the it’s chest and put his finger on the trigger and began to pull, but stopped. In fact both of them stopped and appeared to be frozen. The blue haired man looked baffled that he wasn’t shot and before he could escape, a voice came through the room from the door.

“Hello Mr. McCoy, my name is Charles Xavier and I have a proposition for you” Called a bald man in a wheelchair from the doorway.

“Pleased to make your acquaintance, and thank you for your help with those pesky individuals, but in my current state I feel that my presence will be of little help ”

“That is actually why I came to you, I run a school for
mutants and I believe I can help you cope with your mutation and allow you to feel more comfortable with your new look.”

“What do you want out of this arrangement Charles?”

“Now that you mention it, we‘ve recently had a loss and my institute requires a doctor and if you help I will get you your own lab to continue your research, so what do you say Hank, is it a deal.”

Hank took a moment to think, then replied, “Yes, but I hope that my appearance won‘t frighten any of your students, I mean how often does a hairy blue mutant walk through the front door”

“I‘m glad you asked that” Xavier said as a man appeared behind him, “This is also a new member of my school, his name is Kurt.”

“Hallo Hank, I‘m Kurt Wagner, pleased to meet you.” Said the black-haired man behind Xavier’s wheelchair.

“Well Kurt, if you can fill Hank in on everything and take him back to the school, I must go with Storm to New Orleans to investigate a number of explosions at a casino, I believe a mutant may be involved.” Xavier told Kurt before wheeling out the door.

“What did Charles mean when he said ‘I‘m glad you asked that’?” Hank asked Kurt.

Kurt looked nervous, but after a few seconds he took a device that looked like a cell phone out of his pocket and pressed a button. In a split second his white skin and black hair turned blue, like Hank’s. Kurt smiled and said, “Thanks to Professor Xavier‘s image inducers, I can go out in public without causing panic.”

“Brilliant!” Hank exclaimed, “What an ingenious invention, but can it make you look like anyone?”

With the press of another button, Kurt changed from the tall black-haired man he was before, to a little girl with blonde pigtails, and finally into a short man with brown hair sticking up on the sides, with long sideburns and wearing a wife beater and jeans.

Hank began to laugh hysterically and asked, “Did you invent all those people, the last one was pretty over the top!”

Kurt began to smile and simply said, “Wait until we get to the mansion, I‘m sure you won‘t find the original all too funny,” With that Hank stopped laughing an looked intently at Kurt who suddenly said, “We must be going, the Professor can’t keep these two still much longer!”

Kurt gestured towards the two guards who were now moving slightly. Hank nodded and before he could began to ask how they were supposed to get to the school, Kurt grabbed Hank’s shoulder and in a burst of smoke and a loud BAMF sound, they both disappeared, leaving the two guards and a stray bullet behind.

sorry, haven't checked up in a while, I have some more done, but currently have writer's block, but I'll post the next scene or two.

At the mansion of Professor Charles Xavier, the mood was a happy one, which was the first time in two months. The students were awaiting the arrival of a new mutant, which was also fascinating for them. A group of young mutants were standing by the front door, among them was a young girl with brown hair and white streaks holding hands with a boy with spiky hair. The girl was wearing gloves, which may seem odd considering it was a cool evening they weren’t to keep her warm, but to protect the other students from her.

“Do you see them yet Rogue?” An Asian girl behind them asked. She was wearing a yellow trench coat and pink sunglasses and went by the name of Jubilee.

“D’you think they can see anythin‘ over Colossus, my dear Jubilation?” A voice in Jubilee’s head asked her.

“I‘ve told you before Jono, I don‘t like you using your telepathy on me!” Jubilee told the young man next to her.

He was wearing a bandana over his mouth, a leather jacket with an “X” on the right arm and a pair of jeans with a hole on the left knee.

“Would you rather I write on some index cards Jubes?” Jono’s voice rang through Jubilee’s head.

“I've seen toddlers with better handwriting than you,” Jubilee told him, "and if you ever call me Jubes again, you'll be coughing up pink smoke for the next two weeks!"

“So, it's Jubilee, right?!.” Jono’s voice once more rang in Jubilee’s head.

“Bobby, how about we take the new recruits out for dinner tonight?” Rogue asked her boyfriend.

“Sounds good, I‘m starved - Peter, you and Kitty want to come to dinner with us?” Bobby asked the tall man in front of them.

“Da, sounds good to me.” The huge man answered.

“I just hope they get here quick, all this waiting is killin' me!” Rogue anxiously said, looking past Kitty through the front door.

- - - - - -

In a puff of smoke and with a loud thud Kurt and Hank landed on the floor in a heap of blue fur on the edge of a forest..

“Sorry mein freund, but it’s difficult to teleport with someone else with me.” Kurt said as he helped Hank off the ground.

“Why have we come here Kurt, I thought we were going to the mansion.” Hank asked, after noticing they were in the forest.

“Recently citizens became aware of us, so we need to sneak up a little further, the Professor has placed a car there in order to make it seem as though we’re just normal people returning home from work, teleporting in and out of the mansion may raise suspicion.” Kurt explained.

“Quite understandable, let‘s go then.” Hank agreed.

With that, Kurt and Hank walked for about ten minutes until they got to a silver two-door car.

“This is it, oh yeah, you‘ll need one of these, there‘s one in the glove compartment!” Kurt absentmindedly told Hank, as he used his image inducer to change into the tall man again.

Hank stepped into the car and took his inducer out of the glove compartment. He clicked a button and turned into his original self.

“My God, I‘m normal, where on Earth did the Professor get these from?” Hank asked Kurt, while he stared at himself in the mirror.

“I‘m not sure, Logan said he either got it from Stark Enterprises or the Worthington Company, but those were just ideas.” Kurt replied, he then turned and said, “It‘s not as horrible as you think, everyone at the Institute has accepted me, although there is one student who won‘t look at me, but I‘m sure Kitty will come around.”

Hank smiled, but obviously wasn’t convinced. “I guess in time I‘ll embrace my appearance, but as for now, I guess I‘ll use this thing.” Hank gestured to the image inducer as he talked.

Kurt kept driving until they reached the gates of an enormous mansion. There were several people in front of the gates with signs saying such things as “Mutants Must Leave” or “Down With Freaks”, which made Kurt grab a rosary from his pocket and grasp it firmly in his hand. The gates opened and they drove on, leaving the chants of “DEATH TO MUTANTS!” behind.

Kurt stopped the car in front of the mansion and the two blue mutants stepped out of the car and walked up to the front door.

“After you Hank.” Kurt said as he opened the door and stepped aside.

“What the…” Hank said after discovering at least twenty mutants in the foyer staring at him. He turned, but Kurt wasn’t there, instead Hank spotted Kurt among a group of giggling girls.

Hank closed the door behind him and turned his image inducer off.

“Welcome, my name is Peter, I am pleased to meet you!” Peter said with his hand extended out to him.

Hank shook Peter’s hand and noticed the girl next to Peter was looking at the floor.

“So, you must be Kitty!” Hank exclaimed, which made her look up and blush.

Behind Kitty, Rogue, Bobby, Jubilee, and Jono were staring in amazement at the man who just entered.

“Rogue, did Kurt ever happen to mention his father to you?” Bobby blurted out.

Inside of the jet, known as the Blackbird, Charles Xavier, Ororo Munroe, and a mutant by the name of Remy LeBeau are preparing to arrive at the Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters. Remy was wearing a trench coat and a black tank top with jeans and knee-high boots. He was wearing dark sunglasses and was reaching in his pocket, taking out a pack of playing cards.

“How long ‘til we lan‘ dis thin‘?” Remy asked Charles, “Remy don‘ like flyin‘!”

“We‘ll be at the school in a few minutes Remy.” Ororo, Storm replied.

“Good, cause I can‘t stan’ dis much longer!” He answered as he took out a pack of cards.

“I wouldn‘t if I were you!” Charles warned Remy.

“Relax, Remy not gonna blow up de jet, Remy jus‘ gonna play solitaire!” He assured Charles.

Remy cut the deck and began playing solitaire on the empty chair next to his.

“It‘s quite fortunate for you that we that we arrived when we did, the casino‘s owner was a second away from doing something drastic.” Charles said.

“How do you know dat?” Remy asked, dropping a card.

“I know a lot of things Mr. LeBeau!” The voice of Xavier said in Remy’s head.

Remy dropped the card he had just picked up and it landed with a small explosion on the floor. Charles looked at him with a look that was a mix between an impressed grin and a look that said “I told you so”, but he just smiled, then turned back to Storm and whispered to her, “I think he has potential for great things.”

“Yes, let‘s just hope he remembers to use it for good.” Storm replied.

There you go, the last part I've written still needs a little work, haven't really worked out everything in it. EDIT: I've just re-read the last two parts and edited them, I found many errors caused by the copy/paste process. Sorry if it was hard to understand before.

In front of a dark abandoned bar on the island of Genosha, off the shore of Africa, three men were waiting outside. One of the men was old with gray hair and silver eyes, he was standing next to a young man with brown hair, who was playing with a lighter, the last man had blue eyes and was leaning against the wall of the bar.

The sign on the bar which originally said, “The Avalon Established in 1963” now reads, “T.e Ava Esta.lish.d ir 196” The bar looked as if it hasn’t been inhabited for 50 years. The neighborhood where the bar was located in was in almost as bad condition as the bar.

The young man looked at his watch then muttered, “They‘re late”

“Have some patience, they‘ll be here shortly.” The old man replied.

The young man knew that he should just leave it alone, so he continued playing with his lighter. The blue-eyed man pushed back his red hair and got off the wall. He stretched his neck to see over the other two, then leaned back against the wall, looking the other way. Finally after ten minutes had passed the old man looked at his own watch and straightened up.

“We‘ll go in without them, let‘s go,” The old man said, picking a garbage can lid off the floor. He began walking and as he stood in front of an alleyway, a loud metal clank rang through the silent street like a gunshot.

The other two followed him into the alleyway beside the bar. The old man walked about twenty feet and abruptly stopped in front of a manhole cover, which he removed with little effort. He climbed down the ladder into the sewer, followed by the two other men. The three men walked down the pipeline about twenty-five feet before turning into a different pipe. They only walked a few feet when they reached a ladder, which they climbed up.

At the top of the ladder was a dark room with boarded windows. The room was full of tables, each with a small red candle on the center. Surrounding each table were several chairs, some broken and there were about ten stools against a counter on the other side of the room. The years of neglect were indicated by the many cobwebs and amount of dust that have accumulated. As the blue-eyed man came up the ladder last, he closed the trapdoor behind him. He stopped and looked at the room in disgust. The old man saw this look and made a sort of smirk.

“Could you light some candles?” The old man asked the young man.

He walked over to a candle that was on one of the tables and with a flick of the lighter, he lit the candle. He repeated this until the room was lit with about twenty little dancing flickers of light.

“What now?” The young man asked.

“We wait,” The old man said with his eyes on the trapdoor, “and I have a feeling we won‘t need to wait much longer.”

“Maybe we should sit while we wait.” The blue-eyed man suggested.

The three men sat down on the stools by the counter, backs to the trapdoor, facing a dusty, broken mirror. The blue-eyed man looked at his watch and impatiently tapped his fingers on the bar.

“Who are we waiting for anyway?” The young man asked.

“Some old friends of mine.” The old man relied.

The young man shrugged and took out his lighter again. He watched the dancing flames until a strong breeze blew out the fire. The young man stared intently at his lighter.

“How could it have blown out?” He thought. The question was answered when the other men turned around and stood up. The young man stood too, facing the trapdoor, which was now opened. They looked at the door, but no one was there, instead there was a head of brown hair was rising from the trapdoor. A few seconds later a woman wearing a red coat was standing before them.

“What took you so long?” A voice said from behind them.

From behind them, a gust of wind traveled past them and within a second, a tall white-haired man was standing next to the woman. He smiled at the old man and quickly closed the trapdoor. He walked up to a table and placed a garbage can lid, which was now bent into the shape of an arrow on it.

“Pietro, Wanda, so glad you could make it - now lets get down to business.” The old man said.

Well, here it is. Hope you enjoy it, because it's the last bit I've written so far, but I'll get started on the next part soon. Also, if you keep an eye out, there is a hint as to how this story will end.

Remy stepped off the X-Jet onto the jet hangar and slowly took in the new environment. Wandering a little, he left the hangar through an ‘X’ shaped door. He was now standing in a bright blue hallway with several more ‘X’ shaped doors. In a trance-like state he walked to the farthest door, a round door with an ‘X’ across is with a small blue hole in the center. A small amount of light was shining through the hole and letting his curiosity get the best of him, he knelt down and stared through the hole.

Before the process could occur, Remy was snapped out of his trance by a voice in his head, “I would advise against doing that Mr. LeBeau,” it said, “unless you‘d care to be transported to The Brig.”

With that in mind, he quickly stood up and turned around to see the Professor making his way into the hallway, Ororo not far behind. Remy gave an innocent look at the Professor and Ororo, neither bought it.

“I see you‘ve found Cerebro, I used it to find you,” The Professor said, “would you like to see it?”

“Maybe later Prof, I just wan‘ ta get settled in.” Remy replied.

“Ororo, could you show Remy to his room then, I‘m going to see if I can track Scott.” Charles said.

“Right, good luck.” Ororo replied.

Ororo walked to a large square door and walked into it, Remy followed slowly. When he approached the door, he saw it was an elevator that could probably fit six people. He walked into the elevator and looked at Ororo, who pretended not to notice him eyeing her. The doors closed and she pressed a button labeled with the letter ‘D’.

“Who‘s dat Scott person de Professor mentioned?” Remy asked abruptly.

Ororo hesitated for a second then replied, “He‘s the leader of the X-Men, but he left a short while ago - for personal reasons.”

Remy stared attentively through his sunglasses until the doors opened on the second floor. Ororo quickly stepped out of the elevator and turned left into a hallway. She led him down an winding hallway to a room with the door open. The room had two beds in it, obviously meaning Remy would have to share a room with someone.

”So, are you sharing’ de room wit’ me?” He asked.

“No, you‘re sharing with Hank.” Ororo retorted.

Gambit grinned as Ororo turned and walked towards the door.

“We‘ll send for your things later,” She said, “But while you wait, you might as well go out to dinner with the other students.”

Ororo walked out and Remy followed at a quick pace. He tried to catch up to her, but she was always just out of reach of him. As he attempted to tap her on the shoulder he noticed a crowd of students below, in the foyer chatting loudly.

“Look like we have a full house!” Remy replied.

He leaned against the banister and stared in the direction of a girl in a green coat. He smirked slightly as he watched her standing there, but unfortunately for Remy, she was holding hands with another guy. The smirk was quickly wiped off his face as he looked determinedly at the spiky-haired boy holding the girl’s hand.

(Not much, but at least Remy's settled in)

(Sorry about delaying for so long, but here‘s something for now)

Surrounded in a giant hollow sphere known a Cerebro, Professor Charles Xavier was currently tracking his first student, who had left just weeks before. Wheeling up to the mantle, Charles lifted his special helmet and placed it on his head. With a flick of a switch and the flutter of his eyelids, the Professor was now out of Cerebro, out of the mansion completely. He was now linked to every mutant mind, searching for his misguided pupil. Charles traveled through the minds of hundreds of mutants, but none were Scott.

Suddenly his concentration was broken, someone was knocking on the door of Cerebro.

“Come in, Ororo!” Charles called, without even opening his eyes.

“Welcome Storm” Cerebro said as Ororo stepped through the sliding doors.

“Any luck Charles?” She asked as she made her way towards him.

“None, I have a feeling Scott doesn't want to be found.” Charles replied.

“Keep trying, I ‘m sure you‘ll find him.” Ororo assured him.

She put her hand on his shoulder and he held her hand, then let go and looked up.

“How is our Cajun friend fitting in?”

“The others asked him and Hank to go out to dinner with them, so I guess
they may fit in a little easier than Kurt did.” She replied.

“I just hope Remy keeps his powers to himself.”

“Me too Charles, well I‘ll allow you to continue your search, I‘ll bring you some dinner in half an hour.” Ororo said as she quickly walked down the ramp out of Cerebro.

“Thank you Ororo!” Charles telepathically said to Storm.

She smiled as she stepped into the elevator.

As the door closed however, her smile quickly faded. Being claustrophobic had something to with her change in attitude, but also the thought that the Professor may not find Scott. As the door opened again into the now empty foyer she put on her brave face as she walked out of the elevator.

Ororo quickly ran up the stairs to her room and shut the door behind her. Her room was full of plants and was her only sanctuary from the outside world. As she sat down on her bed she picked up a picture from her nightstand. The picture showed Ororo, Professor Xavier, the girl with the brown hair with the two white streaks, who looked uncomfortable in the picture and her hands were in her pockets. Next to her was a man with brown hair and red sunglasses who was holding hands with a woman with red hair and green eyes, and in the background smoking a cigar was a short, grumpy-looking man with his hair sticking up like horns on his head.

The picture was taken outside of the mansion a few days after the events at the Statue of Liberty many months ago. As Ororo looked hard into the shimmering green eyes of the red-headed woman she remembered the fun times they had and then… a destroyed dam taking her away forever. Ororo was no longer brave, the tears fell from her eyes like the rain from the skies and fell on the picture. Ororo quickly put the picture away and sat at the edge of her bed, weeping for the loss of her friend.

Just mere feet down the hall of the Institute, in a rather plain room, which belonged to the X-men team leader, Scott Summers, A.K.A. Cyclops, was the same picture on the floor. The red frame the picture was in was dusty and chipped, the glass was smashed and all the shards of glass were still on the floor. No one has been in the room since Scott left, not just because it was unsafe to enter it, due to the fact that Scott shot an optic blast through the ceiling in his angst. The real reason they never enter is because they would rather not piss off a man who just lost the love of his life.. Especially one with two giant lasers under each eyelid.

(This is it so far, I had fun writing this part, I‘m starting to write better now :D hope you enjoy!)

EDIT: (Cerebro wasn't actually talking, it was just welcoming Storm in, like how it welcomes Charles. Sorry if I caused any confusion)

I like the part and look forward to more, but if you're having personal problems don't feel obliged to post if it ever causes difficulty.

(Just so you know, Kurt and Hank are using their image inducers)

A black van screeched to a halt in front of a local diner, which was situated within a rather popular area of Westchester. In this one area one can fulfill all their eating needs, whether it be pizza, candy, ice cream, or a variety of fast food, this street had everything.

A group of people exited the van and poured out into the sidewalk. There were nine people that exited the van: Peter, Kitty, Bobby, Rogue, Remy, Jono, Jubilee, Hank, and Kurt.

"Where do ya'll wanna eat?" Rogue asked the large group of mutants.
"This diner right here seems good enough for me!" Hank said.

The rest of the group agreed and they all made their way into the diner, all except Remy. Rogue was holding the door open for Kitty when she noticed Remy standing outside alone. She waited until the others passed her and proceeded back outside.

"Are ya comin'?"
"Nah, I tink I'll just get sometin’ else." Remy said, reaching deep into his trench coat pockets.
"We'll go somewhere else if ya don't want this." Rogue suggested.
"I'm okay, I'll jus' get sometin’ at de 7-11." Remy said.

With that, Remy took out a pack of cigarettes and slipped one into his mouth. He cupped his hands over his mouth and smoke began to emit from the tip of the cigarette.

"I didn't see ya take out a lighter." Rogue said, inquisitively.
"Don' need one!" Remy said as he snapped his fingers and a spark crackled on his fingertips.

Rogue watched as Remy disappeared down the road, until she was snapped back into reality by Bobby.

"Rogue," He said from the door, "Are you coming?"

Rogue looked at Bobby and smiled.

"Yeah, I was just.." She stopped and looked back toward the Cajun, then joined Bobby at the door and entered the restaurant.

(I'll add on to this later, I just wanted to post something so I could get something done at least)
