Chat is back up. I opened a support ticket with my host, and it looks like for some reason my server was the target of a DoS attack that eventually crashed it. This has happened a few times. I'm very likely within the next month to move my server into the cloud, since I want to play with IaaS anyway; hopefully once I do so the server will have greater resiliency. (Transparent failover, etc.)
Thanks, and apologies for the inconvenience;
