(I wasn't sure where to share this, as it's not really a fanfic or fan'art' per se- but I thought everyone might enjoy it. Mods, feel free to move this somewhere else if need be.)
Some friends and I are big fans of the 'sweding' of movies (making your own version of popular films as quickly and cheaply as possible, while keeping all the 'good bits' in tact. My college buddies and I got together for the first time in years for a spring break weekend and decided we needed to Swede all three X-men movies. I'm sure you'll recognize our favorite fuzzy elf.

So here's a fun ten minutes for you to enjoy!

Just because I like bizarre stuff like this, I have a new favorite video.
And Nightcrawler was the best, of course.

The Nightcrawler scene is my daughter's favorite. It always gets the screechy giggles out of her.

We were *going* to edit and cut the bamfing to make it look cleaner- but we realized that would have taken away from the AWESOME.

That's my one-of-a-kind Bamf doll I made a a few weeks ago at work (while I was playing bathroom monitor instead of tutoring as per usual...)- he totally rocked at the audition.
Haha- well then, I hope we're safe from Magneto for quite some time.

Okay, I made Hubby watch it (now, THAT is True Love on his part!) and we laughed so hard that the parrot three rooms away started howling with laughter.
Thanks again for sharing it with us. I am glad that Ms. Paty got to see it too -- I hope she's properly impressed with Magneto's streamers of power. And his really cool helmet (argh).
But I feel sorry for anyone who didn't hear the wah-wah-wah sfx. I also hope the parrot doesn't decide to grace me with that noise for the next 50 years.

The helmet was a group effort. Yes, it *is* a colander with some tinfoil and cellophane...
We lucked out on the "casting" of Magneto as well. He just showed up to the party a bit early, so we slapped the helmet and cape on poor Eddie - and we were good to go!
I personally love Cerebro. We just wallpapered a small closet with the foil, and started referring to it as "the cerebro room" (where supplies were often left etc...)
All in all it was SO much fun. My boyfriend and I are working on another movie (*much* shorter) just for grins.

That Bamf doll you made is adorable, the-lone-bamf. Good work!
I enjoyed the video too, especially Nightcrawler and his cellophane Bamfs and Wolverine stuck to the wall. I liked Wolvie's aluminum foil claws too. How did he get them to stay on?

The claws are actually just taped onto the gloves he's wearing with clear packing tape. One of the fabulous things about shooting a relatively lo-res movie is you can't see little details like that. I'm glad you enjoyed it! I still get a kick out of it.
