Tis most satisfying to baste the object of your vexation with an imaginary length of sausage :smirk

Now if we could just talk Chuck into taking that sausage beating show on the road....
....ya know, that has a right naughty ring to it :LOL which goes to show boys and girls...tis good to consider your words before you post :P

Austen's such a good sport to support us young 'scrawlers and comic-goers by allowing him to use summer sausages upon his person. :LOL

I liked the 430th issue but I've got just 5 words to sum up my feelings :

Please more Kurt Mr Austen !!!

I guess Nighty won't stay a victim the entire story-arc but with all the waiting and the introduction of Azazel's Hell's angels last issue, my expectations have reached a boiling point !
I also hope the characters who escort Azazel are complex enough to become classic X-Men "villains".

I posted to this topic a couple of days ago but my post didn't go through (this forum as is X-fan, and He-man.org boards are acting wonky on my computer at home) So if anyone knows whats the problem and how I can fix it.. send private message :b

Anyhow I've decided to just enjoy Uncanny. There are things I might not quite enjoy about it, but after all comics are all about imagination and having fun.. so I'm just gonna enjoy.

And this was a fun issue. It had the action and it had the nice scene with Xorn and Xavier and Annie.

Also learning more about Polaris was good.

I'm excited to learn more about whats up with Iceman's power.

Also I think I'll like Abyss since I really like teleporters.

I liked the issue, but I really don't care for Tan's art. I much prefer Garney's penciling. I loved the way he did Nighty in Holy War. Something about Nighty's eyes:) And Chuck :thumbup. Way to go bud:) good writing

Looks like Tan's becoming a lightning rod. Either you like his stuff, or you hate, hate, hate it; nothin' inbetween. Does anyone besides me remember Seizenwick's art in the 80s? (I think that's the correct spelling of his name.) He did New Mutants for a while. He had incredibly stylized artwork, to the point that half the time I couldn't tell what the hell I was looking at. Any time that I see artwork I don't really like, I think of Seizenwick's work, and then it doesn't look so bad. :P

Well, if you put it that way, I agree with the Hate part. It is probably a gender preference thing. I think we ladies especially can't get into a Kurt like the one Tan draws. Let Tan do the covers if they must, but I, for one, have had enough of Tan's creepy-looking Kurt. :evil

I can't wait for Sal LaRocca to start doing Uncanny. :)

the spelling on his name is actually Sienkiewcz, first name Bill.. and I remember.. in fact he's one of my all time favorite comic artists( or Illustrators if you will).... But your right he is extreamly stylized..His painted work I always found to be quite a bit better...some of his clarity was lost when he was in pen and ink... definatly check out some of his graphic novels. he did a Daredevil(the name of the story escapes me now), an illustrated version of Melvilles Moby Dick, his own series entitled "Stray Toasters", as well as the catalogue of his own paintings called "Precursor". He's also done some story boarding work for movies such as the Grinch, and the Green Mile. I believe he will also have work in the upcoming Neil Gaiman Endless stories "Endless Nights"
also here is the artists web page: http://www.billsienkiewicz.com/
