I am...Emily...I hate my name, but going by Emmy-Jay is nice! Gives it a nice country ring to it!...But Emily doesn't do much else for nicknames...Emm, Emma, Emmy...:yech

My middle name is Lea, mispelled anyway under the sun. I even spelled it Leah for twelve years before I saw my birth certificate. It means 'meadow'. Many people say Lee-uh or Lee instead. It tees me off. But I love my middle name. It's also the name of my fanfic character (but she does not yet know).

My last name is French, so it's mispelled/mispronounced in every possible way. That's how we know if someone's a telemarketer!

My name is Sky. I have a hippie name. It is actually Skylar but when I got to my highschool, there was already a kid named Skylar so I was dubbed Sky. It's so weird when people call me Skylar now.....

Stephanie- terribly original eh? I think the Greek meaning is "crowned one". But I haven't found my crown yet.:(

Olive - Shut up, I know it's a vegetable as well as Popey's girlfriend's name. It's also my grandma on my dad's side first name. (You think I hate having it as a second name, imagine how miserable I'd be if it was my first:( )

Selena - My grandma on my mom's side. She passed away so long ago that I don't remember her, but from the stories I've been told she rocked. If I ever had to change my name, I'd go with this one. :)

You may notice that my initials actually spell something. :naughty Sorta

You're not alone in odd initials; I'll tell you a tale, a tale of my full name: Siona Evonne Webster, which comes to S.E.W., or sew.

Oddly enough, my mum was working at a sewing factory when I was born. :rolleyes

Conspiracy?

Probably.

Katie:- It's the name on my birth cirtificate and the one I was Christianed with. I wish I'd have been called Katherine, then I could introduce myself as Kat or Kitty, which are far better.

Rose:- An old, archaic name which is also my 2nd favourite plant. I only worked out how to spell it a year ago which is a constant source of amusement for my friends.
I normally tell people my middle name is Marmaduke. Most people believe me too.

Hawkins:- Best one of my names. An olde English name from when the surname was a job description. Hawkins' were hunters which I like.
My parents were going to call me Jim if I'd have been a boy, proving that they are indeed evil.

I'm Alexandra. That's the only first name I got. We Germans aren't that much into middle names....
But I'd like to know all the funny German names you got from your ancestors...I *promise* I can pronounce all of them!
My last name is Velten, pronounced "Felton" - and no one knows what it means or where it comes from :D

Mine's Jeanette. Little Jean. :X I much prefer my middle name, Renee, but my nicknames are cool too -- "J," 'Netter, and 'Nette. :D My last name is British, my ancestry is Scottish, Irish, British and American Indian.

Alexandra Devorah Fram

Im also called Sashi, which is an Americanized version of Sasha, which is a term of endearment for Alexandra in Russian. My ancestry is in the "Whats your ancestry" thread, so go look there if youre interested. My parents made it up, and it pisses me off when people ask me where they got "Sashi" cause ive already told everyone, but they still continue to ask me.

Devorah is my grandmothers name, and its Hebrew meaning Honey Bee, (Awwwww....)

Fram is pronounced kinda like from with a long, sighing ahhhhh. Yes, i know its also the name of car parts company.

Whoa, didn't really expect this many responses!! guess I'll finish out my name too...
Ashley (My given name. I took out the 'e' to be mmore individualized since there are about 14 Ashley's in my high school (1,206 students in all)) It means "ash tree meadow" in English. My Russian great-grandmothers called me by the Russian form of this name, or at least one that sounded close to it. "Ashka" in Russian it means 'protector' or something like that.

Luese is my middle name and the spelling came from a combineing of my grandmothers on both my mom's and my dad's sides of the family.

Belford is a small town in Northumberland, England. It is also my surname. It's either British, Scottish, Irish, or Welsh.

I'm another Chris..."Bearer of Christ" which is sort of appropriate as I am an on-again, off-again Catholic.

Middle name David. Nothing special, just my father's name. Appropriate enough--I inherited my father's looks.

Devin
=:Warning!:=
The story of my name is a little graphic.
Comes from Dubhán - Irish for "little black one." I'm Native American BTW. I was born early, and was coming out backwards. The doctors had to push me back in, turn me around, and pull me out with forceps. I was bruised from the waist down. Hence, Devin!
"Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so." - Douglas Adams.
