I'm still alive. Given the sheer mood drop I've had, this is a damn good thing.

Found $40 in my car! I really have to be more responsible with my money. I had no idea it was missing.

Kind of mixed ass-tounding news today.

A fairly large fire is burning out of control, but outside of my department's jurisdiction even by mutual aid, so we can't do anything about it except pray for rain or something.

My leg which I'd hurt so badly back in January is killing me today. But that's on account of a storm system heading our way, promising... rain!

I also received a lovely drawing from Paty today.

95% sure that the couple who lived downstairs, who threw noisy parties, had noisy rows and smoked a lot of pot have moved out/been evicted/whatever.

:dance

Funniest part, from what we were able to overhear, we think the bloke was arrested and banged up for taking part in the riots, HA!

I cleaned my apartment, which is nice, but the really exciting part was that I found a huge stash of earplugs. I'd been wondering how I got through like $20 worth of earplugs so quickly after my last trip "home". I got to throw out the yucky pair I've been using for way too long, what a beautiful day.

After the trouble my bad leg had been giving me, I was worried about how I'd do at the upcoming "343 Miles for 343 Brothers" relay. It turns out I didn't need to. I went running to test my legs, and did a pain-free eight miles before I even broke a sweat.

So,

Woke up at I-Forget-What-Time, left GF's house at 9:40 AM sharp.

Arrived to Mystic, Conn. sometime around 10:20? Got into Aquarium for 10:30 easy. Awesome.

Loved the aquarium. Great pictures (those later).

Then, went to downtown Mystic, Conn. Did some shopping. Got An answer to the question: What is Enlightenment? by Immanuel Kant. (Fantastic read, -- highly suggest this.)

Then, we headed back to RI. Decided we needed comics.

Went to Comic Store The Time Capsule, expecting the sale for all of September. Problem is it's Wednesday's (obviously?) Saturdays, and Sundays. Felt like asses, but G/F picked up 2 "New 52" titles.
Detective Comics #1
and Batgirl #1.

She liked them. She's never read anything DC except for the random stuff (mostly 'Flash') that I've stuffed in her way, and the 5-Part Arkham City mini that serves as an in-between for the DC/Rocksteady games: Arkham Asylum & Arkham City. (Which she really liked by the way.)

She enjoyed them so much, she now is considering Batwoman #1, Supergirl #1, Superboy #1, and Teen Titans #1.

I'm very excited to see her into something like this. She's been very touch-and-go with comics but she always knew there was something out there for her. (She's really big into Manga).

Anyways -- we went to the theaters after that.
Saw Contagion and we both really enjoyed it. Small problems (putting up a review soon, I'm sure), but overall we really felt it was a good movie. Solid. Also, we are now afraid of eating out and we have used sanitizer (between the two of us) about 12 times since we each got to our respective homes.

Got out of the movie about an hour and a half ago.

Great day! Looking forward to Next Tuesday!

FFFFFUUUCK. I totally typed it right when I did it on Twitter too.

SHit. I actually thought "I should copy/paste it from Twitter so I don't fuck it up". Then my afterthought was "Why bother? It's 3 letters, how do you fuck up 3 letters?"

So Remy (my cat) threw up on my carpet.

Normally this would be ass coffee because cat sick is just nasty.

But I was busy so I was just like 'ugh. I'll do it in a minute'. And looked over at Remy like, 'omg why can't you clean up your own mess?'

And then she did.

Yay Remy! I don't have to clean up!
