"Tropical Stonehenge"

SÃO PAULO, Brazil — A grouping of granite blocks along a grassy Amazon hilltop may be the vestiges of a centuries-old astronomical observatory — a find archaeologists say indicates early rainforest inhabitants were more sophisticated than previously believed.

The 127 blocks, some as high as 9 feet tall, are spaced at regular intervals around the hill, like a crown 100 feet in diameter.

On the shortest day of the year — Dec. 21 — the shadow of one of the blocks disappears when the sun is directly above it.

heres your "mutant". In my opinion it doesnt really look that different from a normal stray dog.
It looks like its been lying there for some time..

Ha! You beat me to it. That's full-on DOG. Looks like a chow chow too.

And while raccoons are not mysterious, they get that way when they do this:

Ah, you know it’s the Halloween season when the monster stories start popping up. A Massachusetts newspaper did an update on the Dover Demon, a story I remember reading as a kid that gave me the heebie jeebies.

Nice, it still gives me the "heebie jeebies".

Though the hopkinsville story that ive never heard of before this day (demon article) is ridicilous.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kelly-Hopk ... _encounter

"Multiple eyewitnesses would claim that, for several hours stretching over a late evening and early morning, they repeatedly saw two glowing, silvery creatures, each three feet tall and seeming to float about the ground."

I do belive in strange creatures, like the chupacabra, bigfoot, serpents and stuff. But to me that doesnt make any sense.
It sounds like an ridiculous ufo story.

"Mexican werewolves are coming up from MEXICO and they're selling crack!"

Well that's why President Bush signed a law to make a big fence to keep the werewolves from crossing the border and the Border Patrol is arming with silver bullets, so the Mexican werewolves won't come across the border and sell crack to nice, innocent American werewolves...

Remains of an unknown creature found on a beach in Russia.
Comments on the page suggest people seem to think it's a very decayed killer whale.

However it will be harder to know what this creature is because the Russian fishermen who found it ate it.

There are probably a lot of bizarre mutations in Sea Of Azov.
Few finds:

"Today the major problem is severe industrial pollution. The Sea of Azov, a huge area east of the Crimea, is so badly affected that its beaches have been totally evacuated."

"Nowadays more than 1200 industrial enterprises dump 18.4 million m3 sewage waters to Azov Sea"

No doubt a mutated orca with fur. Well thats my opinion.

The skeletal one looks like it has the head of a Skeksis (from Dark Crystal?).

I just hope we didn't start an interstellar war by eating any royalty on that other one.
