Could someone please explain Northstar's powers to me in plain English?

He flies and runs really really fast. He can also shoot out a big bright blast of light that can blind his enemies.

Just blind? Can it cause structural damage, like Cyclops' optic blasts?

Now if I am correct Ryan, he can only do that if his sister is with him and they join hands.

And I do believe he's faster than Quicksilver too!:D

well...actually i think he used to do it by himself.... but it wasnt as powerful as when he was with aurora

Is it just me, or does that seem like a bit too much power.

Think about, someone who is faster then Qucksilver, can blind people and is more powerful when his sister is with him? A little too powerful I think.

Not when you consider such characters as Phoenix, Magneto and Professor X. These are quite powerful characters as well. Northstar justs ranks right up there with them:)

On a website dedicated to Northstar it said he could "formerly" produce concussive bursts of light. What happened? And is concussive the same form of energy that Cyclops and Havok use?

he can still produce blasts of light,he did it recently in Uncanny, during the Dominant Species arc

as far as i can gather, yep... that's pretty much it. when that site said 'concussive' i don't think they *really* meant concussive. then again, i am no expert on Northstar :p

Isn't Quicksilver faster??? I remember in eve of destruction (correct me if i'm wrong), magneto says that Northie is slower than Quickie...

And his powers come from the "random atomic motion found within his molecules", whatever THAT is

Atoms are constantly in motion--they never stop. Friction is what keep atoms together. Atoms in gases are far apart, they are closer in liquids and packed tight in solids.

By screwing around with atomic structure, Northstar can defy physics by eliminating friction and thus soar through the air and ground at a blindingly fast rate.

Get it?

I still don't understand where the "concussive bursts of light" means or comes from...
