Welcome to Scrawlers, Darick! Nice to have you here! We promise not to make fun of your hair in 1985...much.
Good to hear that the NC series is up to your expectations.
Can you give us any dirt on what kind of feel it's going to have or anything?

don't worry, Darick. Crawler had a rat-tail and parachute pants around that time.... he's got nothing to say about unfortunate hair choices. :p

Kurt only had a mullet on Evolution...and it kinda worked for him. :p
Darick> You wanted to be Slater, I wanted to be Zack. And now we can watch an episode of Saved by the Bell and wonder just what the hell we were thinking.
Just so's you don't feel bad, here I am in 1990, with a flat top and steps on the sides. (and a 6-inch rattail that you can't see)
That was one of my few non-neon outfits.
And, actually, Jill...in 1985 I was 4. I'm not sure I even wore clothes back then.

Not only did I have the pants, but my mom made them for me! They were grey, but I wore them with my super-cool hot pink and lime green WINDBREAKER.
You could wear your NKOTB stuff and I could wear my Hammerpants and we would be the spiffinest Admins around.

Well, I can feel better knowing that my hair style had it's time and place.
I was quite in style for 1984.
20 years later, my haircut has matured as well.

I don't have any pictures, so you'll just have to take my word for it. My hair looked just like this in 1984:
The fold of his shirt is bigger than my chest.Originally posted by Darick
It's a quick sketch from my sketchbook that I colored. That 'boob' was only supposed to suggest the fold at the armpit.

Back in 1984 i was 5 years old, and i had my hair boy short :p
used to loose my sandals all the time, in fact once i threw them to a lagoon and made my dad to rescue them and a monkey bit my leg once. I was always getting into trouble hehe.

Back in 1984... I was in High School. And I wore the same things then that I do now: jeans, T-shirts, and flannel shirts. I was always kind of stuck in that classic 70s mode.
I think the "trendy" (read, "dated" ) things I wore were:
In 1982; one of those headband-thingies.
In 1983; a mid-forearm length white T-shirt with a rainbow across the chest and arms.
Oh, and my hair was shoulder length and moderately feathered. But other than that... I guess I just had no reason to change. I found most of the trendy fashions boring and uncomfortable. Especially those yucky "prarie" colors, which seemed like omeone had spilled all the clothing dye together....

1985... I had Sineád O'Connor hair. Really. And army boots and a dark trench coat. But I always wore pastel colored shirts underneath it, because my mom wouldn't let me wear black

I was born is '66 so I'm pretty old. As for photos...heh I have them but they need to be scanned. One day. Good god! I had my hair parted down the middle and feathered back in high school. I'll have to find that picture.
Does anyone remember the Brady Bunch? First time around most of you don't but I sorta do. Anyway, I used to wear clothes like Bobby wore. We are roughly the same age. :/
And everyone looks so adorable as little tikes. he...he...
The 80's was the best decade. Well, until the late 80's. kinda went to pot after that. oh well

Hmm... the eighties, well i wasn't really trendy either - i was born in '76 and in the eighties i was a skinny, serious kid with a mop of brown hair and corduroy jeans that i absolutely *loved* because of the "fwip fwip" noise they made....
mind you, i am from Australia, and that was the Land of the Mullet then, where they roamed free and wild, and attacked helpless soap opera actors...
