Here are some of my poems! :nodyes

If I Had A Red Chair
I see a red chair there
just sitting
on the deck there
that pretty red chair there
is oh so very bare
and if I
had a red chair
i wouldn't just
leave it there
unattanded
so that someone
like me
could just sit there
on the ground
and stare
at that red, red chair
and grow a gray hair
and wonder where
oh where
did the owner
of that red chair
go?

Locketown
yawning dusty lungs
rough twined toes
old quiet tongue
long stiff nose

tiny creaky tune
warped wood floor
warm afternoon
empty store

the epic
Ganymede clutched his
apple seeds
as he was torn from the turf
like a spry dill weed
plucked, he was plucked, the
cockerel clucked
as the hoop rolled off
the wing of the thing
and ganymede swung
by the skin of his teeth
into the firey, firey heart-shaped wreath
Hung by the hairs of
the hares in the squares, Ganymede
clung to the rail of the stairs
acending, transcending, extending
rear-ending, apple seeds slung
here and there, distending,
Ganymede swelled up and
fell down, he and the Eagle man
strode around, skipping
and flipping and dripping with
glee, the two of them split town
like two split peas--two peas of a pod
the two of them be, stomachs churning
with yearning, the black burning sea
surges, submerges, froths and foams
embracing and lacing their mountainous home;
over the loam they stagger and leap
inside, they collide
and confide in warm sleep.

what part of go away cant you comprehend
quit knocking on the door to my
room, because
in here i'm rather
occupied
with the task at hand,
(that is)
opening and closing my blinds &
sitting around &
thinking of what i said

broken bits of
ornaments
oh, you look
so sad

look up!
look alive!
look around you

see the world's not
made of glass

The Chair
there
was a tear in the chair
a tear right there

why
a tear came to my eye!
I started to cry

so
the tear was sewn
and the chair went home

I'm gonna put up some more...Might as well. I've written more poems than I realized! And if you want to comment (though you don't have to), don't worry about disrupting the order of the poems or anthing...

We Ought To Be, Naughtily!
(The Pilgrim and the Pioneer)

says the pilgrim--
"what is the color
of the colours we can't see?
what is the meaning
of the things not meant to be?
this is the stuff
running rampant in my head
upon hearing the ill news
that my poor god is dead!"

says the pioneer--
"O, woeful pilgrim
you needn't enter throes!
you are surely on to something,
but not what you suppose.
'tis true that all is nothing,
and that nothing, too, is naught
but nothing is as bonny
as the likelihood of aught"

Tiptoe and the Alien
tiptoe tapped with her ten toes
and looked under the bed & under
her nose
where was the alien
she’d seen last night?
i’m in your head, he said
to tiptoe’s delight.
tiptoe tapped her temple lightly
the alien in there smiled politely
”i control your eyelids” the alien said
and they both lived happily until they were dead.

This one's old, from 2004.

Banjo String
So I'm just plucking along
when this lady's all, "Oh my GOD
I LOVE that SONG!"
And she sticks around to watch
me play
so I kick it up a notch
and pretty soon I've got a crowd.
I start to burn
the wires way out loud
and my hands are literally smoking,
but if I stop I have to add
that I was only joking.
Swallowed pride leaves a sting
but the only way outta here
is to bust a banjo string.

Sleepy People

sleepy people
look at 'em go
rubbing their eyes
and tilting their heads
to block out the buzzing sounds
made by
the electrified fence
they can't escape
sleepy people

This one isn't a poem and isn't a song; As I wrote it I didn't know what I wanted it to be, so now it's kind of stuck in some sort of lyrical limbo.

The Wallaroo
back in the days of face to face
wally the roo had a foot race
with betty the bat, and he landed flat
on the ground and rebound
and found the meaning of life in the shell of a nut
that had been eaten and beaten and forgot
wally the roo knew just what to do
he built a canoe and went to peru
there he met the cocoa king and at the ball they did sing

everything
is a beautiful thing
everything
is a wonderful thing
woah, woah

wally the roo, he withdrew
and bid the cocoa king adieu
as wally was leaving the king commenced grieving
he took up weaving to sooth the seething,
and found some elation in the creation
of a daisy chain, it eased the pain, he couldn't complain
but one daisy was crazy and the king went insane

everything
is a beautiful thing
everything
is a daisy chain!
woah, woah

everything
is a wonderful thing
everything
is a daisy chain!
woah, woah

everything is a wonderful thing
everything is a daisy chain, woah, woah

Bumblebee
a bumblebee fell
in a well today
so he became a sailor
and sailed away

the goin' was rough
and the water was green
but the bee was tough
yeah the bee was keen

nobody knew
and who woulda cared?
but the bee kept sailing,
undeclared
