Dead Island (Video Game)

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is just the beginning - talk Marvel on the big screen, small screen and everything in between. DC Cinematic Universe and independent comic creations are welcome, too - The Walking Dead, Preacher, etc.

Dead Island (Video Game)

Post by Ult_Sm86 » Thu Oct 13, 2011 3:19 pm

So I had to.

I had to make a thread about this game.

Is this the best game ever?

No. Far from it. There's lots of mechanical/gameplay problems. It's also irritating that the words don't match the mouths when some characters (most characters even) speak. Even in high-res video sequences. We're better than that at this point. That's 2005/2004 shit, this is 2011. PS3 or 360, I don't care which, these systems can support matching lips.

That said --

This game is pretty cool.
It's hard to be original in a genre as unoriginal as Zombie Apocalypse. But they try and for the most part they pull it off.

An island getaway turned into a hellish paradise as you fend off the zombified tourists and inhabitants of the damned island.

There's so much to do in this game, seriously. The map is GINORMOUS. And though the leveling up is slow going, there's enough side quests going on that you can muddle through them all.

What do you guys think?
